Has anyone taken PSYC345 (social psychology)?

Social psyc is okay, all about human development and social development theory. Not a bad class. Abnormal Psyc is fun, I enjoyed it. Stats is good if you will do research, lots of math. The other general classes like Child, Adolescent, and Adult psyc are pretty much required.

Oh yeah.... it is a fantastic class. If you can, get Dr. Ellard.... good guy to know as well I learnt a lot from that class that I already knew, but we also had a extra book called "Influence" by Cialdini that made it extra good.

I find it is more the prof then the content that makes psych good....

Some excellent Psych profs are:
Teskey (neuroscience, and evolutionary)
Cooper (if still teaching)
During (she is a psychologist that comes in from the childrens hospital to teach 359)
Prociuk is good, but a little boring....very fair, easy tests.

For gods sakes, fo you can avoid it, don't take anything from Slawinski..... god, I almost died.....

I have probably taken 70 or so classes at the U of C, but I absolutely loved Philosophy 275 with Dr. Gall. THe guy is a riot, and really speaks his mind, I know it is not psych, but if you need a humanities option..... it is not that easy, but well worth it IMHO.

I have Slawinski for half of Psyc 369 , what's bad about him/her?

I have him for half of psyc 312, and psyc 345; good to know he's a good prof.

Anyone know anything about Sulsky?

LOL. You'll see.... I had her for the whole thing! lucky sensation/perception is an easy class. At the beggining, the class was full....by half way through, only 1/3 bothered coming to class.....
