    Default Silvia build thread

hey guys whats up? i figured since its winter and everyones car is getting worked on or parked, i would make a thread to show you what i have done over the winter so far
I purchased this car from jdmsource on oct 26, this is my 3rd car. Actually insurance from my second car paid for this. when i bought it, it was completely stock.
    Mods since oct 26:
    Megan turbo manifold
    Greddy turbo outlet
    Stri 60mm electric boost gauge
    Blitz DD blow off valve
    ACT Streetlite flywheel
    RPS Max series Street clutch
    HKS Mushroom filter
300zx brake conversion + Stainless steel brake lines

Right now we are in the process of changing the clutch/flywheel, and pressure plate. and putting a big brake kit(300zx) on it. and putting the new filter on it.

    Pictures:

    stock engine:

    New exhaust manifold:

gauge pod w/ old boost gauge:

random pic of the tranny + exhaust:

    New clutch:

    Old broken parts:

    hope you like.

yes stock turbo and intercooler, i just did the manifold and outlet to make it look nicer since i had to remove it to fix the gaskets.
my exhaust manifold gasket broke, and turbo manifold to turbo gasket also broke.

brakes are redrilled to 4x114 so i can keep my stock rims for now, and i also found out my rims are the version that fits w/o the spacers. Nissan made two different molds of my rim just different grooves in the back.

Nice I got the same one just seeing what you paid.

Honestly from personal experience i wouldnt go with that setup for a DD...I find it pretty tough to maintain...but it is fun to drive.

600 with GST..got it at autodream last year...

It will be more than enough for your setup now and even if you decide to go T3..Just make sure you drive it like a granny for the first 1000km..and set your clutch pedal right if you want it to last you.

To run 12s and daily drive is quite the challenge, it wont happen cheap. My friend's coupe is running t3/t4, 550 cc injectors, 18 psi, huge front mount, 255lph walbro, and upgraded clutch, we dynoed it at 270 hp to the wheels before the 50 shot of nitrous, and he was running 13s at the track. mind you, we were having traction issues, but still, just remember, it aint cheap. do NOT buy an ebay t3 manifold, you will be sorry.

If you want a good manifold, locally, that will have warranty on it for worksmanship, talk to Jason Lange, his manifold will prolly cost you the same or less as a full race, and his quality is second to none. The equal length tubular he made for our sr20 completely changed the sound/behavior of the car. Very nice (=
