09' Subaru Forester

Last week i had a chance to fly to Vancouver and drive the new Forester's. It is a much more refined ride(not as noisy or as rough on the road). The interior has a definate improvement over previous years. As for the looks, i think.... well i have to get used to it. The Premium models (leather) and XT's (Turbo) only come in auto w/ sport shift. My own opinion, they did a great job with the new design and with the improvement with the ride quality but Subaru is losing what made Subaru a Subaru.

the only current subaru car that was an improvement over its previous generation in the looks department is the legacy. All of the other subarus look like crap... they look super bland, almost corolla ish.

i could have made a better interior buuut the exterior is an improvement over the last. but still not what subaru is capable of.

Subaru has spent to much time working with Toyota. That is why they have lost that odd "what makes a subaru a subaru" But there Sales are going to go way up.

In the end, these companies are in place to make money. If the blander designs sell better, they are going to keep producing them. Kinda sad, but thats business.

I hated the Mercedes-Benz GLK at first... but now since Subaru is making this thing I consider the GLK to be the true Subaru Forrester!

So if you want a real Forrester... get a GLK.

Big step backwards IMO, too chunky looking, too tall, and too plain white toast. For the love of God Subaru, quite dulling down your vehicles!
