Post Benefit of Earth cables explained

There were a few posts lately from people doubting or asking what kind of benefit earth cables would provide.

I found this link that has detailed explanations:

all i can say is this...that kit comew with 5 fires...a couple days ago when i finished rebuilding my engine and was wiring it all back up, i had at least TEN ground wires to hook up and as for total number of wires that would move around electricity...we wont even go there...hahahaha...it slows down your current flow so much your computer can't work correctly...right

The fact that the first line

On a normal system, electric current flows from a positive terminal to a negative terminal through the car body
is incorrect doesn't inspire much confidence that the rest is true.

if they are talking conventional current, which pretty well everyone uses, then it flows +ve to -ve

if they are talking electron current, then it is -ve to +ve

there's ac (alternate current) and dc (direct current) current only...ac traveles back and forth, and dc in one direction...

i'm currently in my 4th year of electrical engineering at the uofa. yes dc current flows in one direction and ac is a sinusoid. but what they have said about current flowing from the +ve terminal to the -ve terminal is not wrong. once you get out of high school, everyone talks in conventional current... which is the flow of positive charge or "holes" (for eg missing bonds in a semiconductor). so the flow of current is from +ve to -ve

Yeah your right except not everyone talks about conventional current (only if they are uneducated). Conventional current is what was BELEIVED to be the direction of flow. It has long since been proven to be false.

But this is pointless to argue. Lets just all agree that site is a bunch of BS

I will post the results that I have regarding this. However these are not my own results but others suuch as Apexi and XS Engineering. Next week I will be doing my own dyno testing. Then I will either believe or disbelieve. I tend to believe the people I would call eperts in the industry tho. They have no reason to mislead me as they are selling nothing.

Having someone like Dr. Lightspeed here is a blessing I think for all car enthusiasts interested in tuning up their car.

A dynamometer run is ain't cheap and I appreciate his will to test it for us for nothing.

For those who did not follow the other trend, he offered to test the battery capacitor (hot inaZma look-alike) as well as the tornado.

my two thumbs up to him!

Yea I suppose you already went down this road once after all you bought a NEON and are now trying to figure out how to make it faster. HAHA j/k Don't be so closemided you might just learn something . Wait unitl the testing is done opinions are like armpits really stinky and mean very little. Just be patient young grasshopper. I guess if I want to waste my time finding out something using dyno time to do it and share it with the group if that is not blessing than where else are you going to find out real info. As far as that goes I welcome anybody to join the session maybe we will do a couple cars on a sat. You already volunteered for one of the others. I am not trying to hide anything just find out the real truth.

If it weren't for people like Dr. Lightspeed, where the hell would the world be today, scientific testing is what helped to create the computer you are typing on, the car you drive in and many other things you use daily, so just because you think he is wasting his time and money, lots of others are quite appreciative of the things that some of the people do on here
