    Angry ITR replacement Clutch

Okay so last week my clutch went on my 1997 ITR. I got a clutch kit from Exedi (i dunno how to spell it) and it's the racing clutch (yay first racing mod!) money that could have gone to further my ricing out. Has anyone used these clutches or know if they are any good. I got it cuz it was cheap and my friend is installing it in his garage. all in all around 600 installed.

Let me know what you think.

Exedy is a good kit, and seeing as how your not pushing tons of HP i would think it should last quite a while. $600 installed is a good deal no matter where you go.

cool, the guy who's installing it is the head mechanic at Kramer Mazda so i know he'll do a good job, he's got a full hoist at his house and every tool imaginable. 200 for the install is pretty good i think.

For 600$ for a performance clutch installed, from what i know thats a killer deal. How much is a stock itr clutch replacement? Isnt that around 4-500$?

Silverhill Acura quoted me $680 for the parts and $75/hr. is the shop rate. Clutches in general take 5 hrs they said, so basically i got a better clutch and saved some decent coin. Hopefully. Lookin to do some more racing mods, don't race the car but the parts are build stronger and should be able to push the car a little harder. Got anymore idea's?

oh yeah.. and it cost me $50 for getting my car flat bedded to my mechanic's house....AMA discount = $30 saved. but it sure looked cool flatbedding my car around. For anyone who cares this is the cost of flat bedding:

    Hook up, and take-off: $67.00
    First 5 KM : $Free
    Every additional Km: $2.10

that was through the AMA, but the driver gave me an even better deal for some reason. Maybe cuz i'm so cute!

That's a very good price. I recently went through the same thing and I can tell you I didn't come anywhere near that price!

dang!!!! sorry but it wouldn't even go into gear. You had to have the car off, foot off the clutch then turn the car on and just give it gas and it would go with your foot all the way on the clutch. Pretty messed.

I like the high compression idea though....interesting. I gotta get more into the engine side of tuning.
