    Angry Customs Broker

Well I to be frank about this. I had a stroker built in the states and was told it shipped last week. Now I get a call saying I need a customs broker and the company that built the engine can't help me find one. So can someone tell me who they've dealt with and how much it costs.

    Thanks

    Who'd they ship it with?

you should be able to tell the shipping company that you'll self clear, they should be able to get it here "in bond" then you self clear it, there's instructions for it posted somewhere on here in one of the UPS hate threads.

yeah. you contact the shipper and tell them you want to clear it yourself(to avoid brokerage fees). they will forward you the correct documents which u then take to customs canada where you will pay yours taxes and such on it, and they stamp the documents. then u return to your shipper, give them the docs, and recieve your shipment.

UPS will only do it at the port of entry. Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto, etc. Calgary is not a port of entry.

^ oh god this sucks. I called those guys and they said that they do not have the time to deal with individuals. They told me to contact eagle, but when I mentioned that eagle couldn't help me, they had no further suggestions.

I need to do this too, apparently Bax Global doesn't do that shit for you.... I've left a message with them to call me back but what should I be asking for?

Whats the contact that you used at Calgary Customs?

    Ha guys,

I got those 'documents' how easy of a process is this? Are the Canada Customs guys ok to deal with? They gave me some office behind Sunridge Mall

When I recieved a package through BAX I got those "Documents" aswell, and the customs officer lady at the office, was pretty easy to deal with, but just before I left her supervisor came over and took my papers then said they had to go through inspection which took nearly a week due to backlog. It takes like 5 mins to go through the customs office, and if there is no ispection needed they will give you back the papers and you take them back to BAX and pick up ur package.

Not what I wanted to hear haha.... hope my package goes through ok.

You didn't need to fill any other paper work out right? Just give the customs people the shipping way bill and the item receipt and they do the rest right?
