Ouch! Impact speed of 65km/h... that's gotta hurt! Surprising how well the car held up though.

Holy! Poor SLK.
Hope the driver was alright.
why oh why a benz!?!?
poor car
wow, the car held up pretty well.. how did the driver crash the car?
i bet that was his driveway... fucking mercedes drivers....
were you driving without your glasses again!!
Man, going thru a wall with the top down... it'd be a hell of a ride.Originally posted by dc_320
In case anyone wondered how an SLK would fair in an accident...
Had someone pull out in front of me...went into this brick wall at about 40. Thankfully no one was hurt.
The drivers compartment of the car is totally intact...a testament to how well built Mercedes are...although the pictures show the roof up it was down at the time of the accident...

Ouch!
my friend smashed her SLK 230 into that huge piller that holds up 32nd avenue bridge over deerfoot, but the airbags didnt' deploy. she walked away with no injuries.. safe car even though small i think
Curse you imageshack..
damn that's a strong ass car, Germans know how to build their cars. if that was any other kind of cars it would of been totaly mashed.
that really sucks.. hope the driver is ok
oops!
1 Brick wall
0 Fence

yes germans do know there cars.. now if that was a honda
wall = 1
car = o

(srry honda guys)
True true. No one makes cars that can take an asswhoopin' like the Germans. Man, I'm really quite surprised on the low-damage factor (relatively speaking). Unless the engine took a pounding, looks like the car only needs a few new body pieces to be road worthy again. Impressive!Originally posted by )v(ortal

"Well here's the problem. Some koot put an Acura engine in your Honda."
I dunno man... I'm gonna have to give the slk a point here. That brick wall has seen better days.Originally posted by )v(ortal

I think you guys are giving this car way more credit then it's due. That wall was only 1 layer thick so the damage that was done does seem on par with what it hit. Now if it had hit that post dead on and came out looking like then then i would be impressed.
You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
