    Unhappy SLK vs Brick Wall

Ouch! Impact speed of 65km/h... that's gotta hurt! Surprising how well the car held up though.

Had someone pull out in front of me...went into this brick wall at about 40. Thankfully no one was hurt.

The drivers compartment of the car is totally intact...a testament to how well built Mercedes are...although the pictures show the roof up it was down at the time of the accident...
Man, going thru a wall with the top down... it'd be a hell of a ride.

True true. No one makes cars that can take an asswhoopin' like the Germans. Man, I'm really quite surprised on the low-damage factor (relatively speaking). Unless the engine took a pounding, looks like the car only needs a few new body pieces to be road worthy again. Impressive!

I dunno man... I'm gonna have to give the slk a point here. That brick wall has seen better days.

I think you guys are giving this car way more credit then it's due. That wall was only 1 layer thick so the damage that was done does seem on par with what it hit. Now if it had hit that post dead on and came out looking like then then i would be impressed.
You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
