Default Where to send GF for Tinting

    Hey Guys,

I have zero experience with tinting. My GF is asking me for advice on where to go how much to pay etc...

Please correct me if I'm wrong but any tint past the shoulders is illegal? But most of the time you can get away with 10%?

Anyhoo, if someone can recommend a solid shop or place for her to go and not get ripped off with a quality job please offer your advice. Much Appreciated

A 10% tint is like limo tint. They're rated by how much light they let through. A 70% tint is normally the lightest you can get.

Good thing I stopped and asked you guys first !

What would you guys recommend for this car:

30 in the back? 70 in the front?

    EDIT:

And what can I expect for prices for a 4 door? Thanks!

    20% rear, 35% front.

    always a good combo.

Haha, his daughter got my car in.

Now I'm going to him for a new windshield (probably)

If you're in the Airdrie area, DASH Auto Graphics on the East side does a great job. High quality tints and professional work. Cars he did years ago still show no signs of fading/peeling. Ask for Dallas.

i did 20 on the back and 50 ont he fronts, the dark back brings the fronts down making them look darker too, IMO it's the perfect mix.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

I personally like 30% all around to keep it consistent.

I put 5% all around on everything I drive. Personally I think that looks best. As for who to go with, I use platinum motorsports in douglas glen and have loved the results thus far.

ditto, i got 2 done, and if one car wasnt stolen im sure it would still be looking great, but the latest car i took in was awesome, great customer service, he even opened up the shop early to get the car in straight in the morning before business hours so i wasnt without a ride for long... dallas does wicked work and its hard to belive that what he has now started in a garage only a couple years ago.

    +1 for dash

when cut open, the rambutan unfortunately fails miserably to deviate from its outwardly testicular appearance, revealing an inside that looks for all the world exactly how you'd expect the contents of a scrotum to look.

+1 for tintmasters on 17th ave SE, He was recommended by Shadow and Mr. Detai for the rear window in my Beretta (lots of opposing curves) and he did a great job (2 piece, but only noticable within 1ft) was 275 for 5 windows and he offers lifetime warranty. Probably taking the nice car there this spring, Mr Detail quoted me $500 for "7" windows (stupid 1/4 windows on the rear)
