Shouldn't be too hard to find, not a lot of 2008 550i's on the road, which is different than 2007 550i's, because those do not come standard with the M-Tech kit.

There shouldnt be a hard list to narrow down who did it I hope, unless your brother invited the entire NW quadrant of Calgary..

I saw a beamer that looked like that last night going up shag around like 1030-11..so dont know if that would be it but who ever was driving it was trying to drive up the hill the stopped and put theyre hazards on...the car was parked on shag for a while. But again i have no idea if this was the car..i didnt get a clear look at it but it was a newer beamer like that style
