what are the best PS3 games that dont have a better 360 version?

I am going to grab a ps3 tomorrow since it's free because there is nothing else I can redeem my credit card points on. I already have a 360. Wondering what are the games to get for the ps3. I'm probably gonna get the Orange box. I got r6 vegas 2 for 360 because I heard that version is better. Dont know if I should get cod4 for ps3 or 360. Any ps3 exclusive games that are must haves?

And does the PS3 online service let you download game demos like xbox live does?

And whats the deal with the controllers? Do the regular sixaxxis not have vibration? Should I pick up something else as far as controllers go?

And does the 40gb version come with hdmi, component, or neither?

If you're split between two games go with 360 if you value online, that's my take, haha.

PS3 online should have demos IIRC... Also regular SIXAXIS doesn't have vibration -- haha Sony is eating their own words reintroducing vibration after taking it out since it was such 'outdated technology'

I think the best PS3 titles right now are:

exclusive:
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Resistance: Fall of Man
Heavenly Sword -- heard better first hand reviews than most websites gave it...

non-exclusive:
Devil May Cry 4 (also avail on 360, no real difference here)

And pre-order Metal Gear Solid 4 because it's going to be the game of the decade...

if ur gona get a ps3 dont bother with the 40gb. it doesnt have online and neither versions of the ps3 come with high def cables. so whatever version u buy u gotta get the cables. if you dont have cod4 for 360 than you gotta get it for ps3. its the best game out rite now in my opinion and online is unbeliveable. (might have already known that) and uncharted is A DEFINITE MUST. so thats about it lol. any questions just drop a pm.

cod4, i dunno, from what i have heard its a negligible difference, and xbox live has a lot more players. might stick to 360 for that too.

40gb does have online, it just doesnt have backwards compatibility. you got those confused i think

i played the 360 demo for devil may cry, didnt really like it. looked neat, but im not so much into the anime dude chopping up different demons over and over.

Try Motorstorm maybe. It can get a little repetitive but it was a pretty good game in my opinion. Uncharted: Drakes Fortune was awsome game.

There is nothing wrong with the 40gb if you don't care about backwards compatibility.

I would have picked up the 40 but just got lucky on an 80 for almost the same price.

Rachet and Clank is not bad. If you get one just download the demo, there is an Uncharted demo too. Best way to see if you like them.

I've played a lot of PS3 games. I ended up buying:

Ratchet and Clank (mistake, so boring)
F1 Championship Edition (really, only worth it if you're a F1 geek like me)
Uncharted Drake's Fortune (pretty fucking fun)
GT5 Prologue Jap Import (meh...)
Time Crisis (pretty fun, but dont bother with split screen. it looks small on my 70" tv lol)

My PS3's are primarily BD players.

If you like Ninja Gaiden, its good. There is also a demo of this on PSN. Its identicle to the orginal xbox version just shined up, and prettier.

Reading some impressions on other boards the PS3 version of Dark Sector has faired better than the 360, with less technical issues, bugs. It looks to borrow alot from Gears of War.

7.7 at IGN.

I may give it a rent.


Hot Shots Golf out of bounds is getting some really good feedback too.

There is an update to the Japanse GT Prologue to bring it up to spec with the Euro/NA release.

Alot of the technical issues are apparently not present in the Euro/NA release. The game released on the 27th in Europe. Alot of people are claiming this.

I am a bit dissapointed that they still seem to have this "grind" system to unlock cars, classes. And out of the box there will be no fiend invites, it will be added however.

For sure. Although now that RB6 has been somewhat fixed for PS3, playing terrorist hunt is too much fun. I also like the customization of your character, I wish COD4 had this. The ranking up and rewards are great.
