Default The best aftermarket Performance brake pads.

I am looking for the best perfomance brake pads to compliment my big brake upgrade. I have been using OEM pads to reduce noise and it works great! It doesn't squeal and it's not noisey and it's great! BUT, there is hella brake dust and it's starting to get old...haha. So I am looking for suggestions that you guys would have for good performance brake pads, little to no noise, and more importantly little to no dust.

(Brembo slotted rotors are used in this application)

    Thanks

    Vic

    Default brakes

like all pads you get what you pay for, try ceramic pads as they are a great noise killer while adding to the pad life.

    That's specific

Hawk HPS, Axxis metal masters and Porterfield R4-S are your best choices for a performance street pad.

or you could go with the Hawk carbon/ceramic pads, there mainly for the track use though

I've had good experiences with Axxis Ultimates before as an all around performer with good bang for the buck. They dust like a mofo though. I had some Endless CC-X pads too, and although initial bite wasn't that great, the stopping power was great at the proper operating temperature. Both had just a little bit more squeaking than OEM but barely noticeable.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find performance pads that will dust less than your OEM ones.

If I were you, unless you're turning your rotors, I'd run out your OEM pads and then replace pads and rotors at the same time. I'm pretty anal about breaking in pads on rotors, and then keeping them matched.

Since youre a jdm fan... Project mu or Endless. The pads are only as good as your fluid and lines however.

This thread sucks. The "best" depends on what you're using them for.

You could buy Project Mu Titan Kais that are great for fade resistance but they are worse than Crappy Tire pads for daily use, or you could get Hawk HPS, which are a bit better than OEM, but they are equally useless for track use.

I am truly deeply sorry you think this thread sucks, but if you can think of a better title, or heading then by all means!

Thanks for the advice, I will do some looking around!

Hawks HPS are great for street use if u dont mind the brake dust (my mini wheels always look dirty )
Endless CC are great, not much brake dust and also last a long time, I had them on my S2000 Front and using OEM rear. I end up changing the rear twice and the front pad are still good before I sold the car.
Both cars I had used it for lapping day at Race city few times a year too

I've used both Hawks and EBCs on slotted rotora rotors on my 10th ann rx-7 Turbo.

Being a daily spirited driver, i found that hawks produce a LOT of dust... and more noise than needed....good pads but if your rotors arn't cryo'd (a process of deep freezing the metal and then heating them up to harden the metal structure) your rotors will fade really fast, and possibly warp.

I dont recommend cross-drilled or any kind of drilled rotors just to add to my 2 cents... they WILL warp no matter what. Get slotted only.

EBC's I highly recommend. Little to no noise, and easy on the rotors than Hawks. For daily spirited driving I recommend the EBC "green stuff" (thats what I used) They dont need much of a break in time, and they bite good from cold state. (not warmed up)

Oh and get steel braided brake lines... big diff!

    +1 for EBC
