ridiculars!!! no guests @ BSD

I'm sad cuz im not a uni student. This year there will be no guests allowed at BSD. Now with no guests allowed to attend BSD there will be an extra 1000 wristbands for UofC students.

What do you guys think about this both UofC and outside students?

oh well excuse for me to throw a house party + bbq that day. w00t

i think it kinda sucks cause now friends of the students are not allowed to go and my buddy was looking forward to coming since most of us are in uofc and hes not in til sept, just ridiculars i say

funny you say that cuz we do own a brand new bmw too. HAHAHA

but no, my friends all respect me too much. I've had many house parties over the summer nothing ever happened, except for this one time when someone flooded my bathroom in the basement with a killer shit. god i was pissed. and my parents too. haha.

anyways, seriously i was soo looking forward to BSD this year, cuz last year i was writing an exam that ended at 3 er 4.

the no guests thing should only apply to the beer gardens right? IIRC you only need the wristband to get into there, so you can still go and drink at the den and around campus like everyone else does

Chances are there will be a line up at the Den, and I'm willing to bet that, at a minimum, Thursden policies will be in place which means if you're not a student, you have to have a current student bring you in, and you're limited to 1 guest.

How to get your wristband:

• Wristbands are available April 14 to 17 in the MSC North Courtyard, 9 am to 6 pm.

• Age and student ID are required to obtain wristband.

• One wristband per person.

• Wristbands will NOT be available on Bermuda Shorts Day (April 18).

• Wristbands and age ID are required for entrance into the beer gardens. Wristbands do not guarantee entry into the beer gardens.

• Ride for free on Calgary Transit all day April 18 with your wristband.

GUESTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON BERMUDA SHORTS DAY. U OF C STUDENTS ONLY.

Also, does anyone know why they made the decision to ban guests from BSD?

I'm assuming it's because they were finding that guests were causing the most trouble? Similar to how they had to implement a guest system at the den because non-students were showing up at the den and starting fights, etc?

I think its rediculars of course but like everyone else is saying its just gona mean more people walking around with "water bottles" outside the gardens.
