    Default SE-R or Spec-V?

alright help me decide...i'm kinda iffy now.

    Should I get a new Sentra SE-R, or SE-R Spec-V.

    The Spec-V costs ~ 1500 more.
    here's the breakdown

    SE-R
    -5spd
    -no differential
    -165hp/175tq
-plain jane interior (kinda ugly, but not too bad)
    16" rims

    Spec-V
    -6spd
    -viscous limited slip differential
    -175hp/180tq
    -flashier/sportier interior
    -17" rims

The Spec-V makes extra power from a tuned ECU I think, and the SPec-V takes Premium fuel rather than the SE-R's regular fuel.

    Spec rims

    SER rims

Here are pics of the differnet interiors. Note, I think for 2003, silver will replace the red interior of the Spec-V.

(can't find a good spec-interior picture, but this will give you an idea)

Oh also, Spec-V comes with summer only, I've got to get winter rims/tires.
    SE-R comes with all-seasons.

sorry for the messy post and some pics don't work..but let me know what you think anyways!

I'm leaning towards the base SE-R, and then I'll have an extra 1500+ to play around with!

    Get a Celica GT heh..

J/K... Go for the spec-v man. $1500 is a small price to pay for being satisfied/happy with your car.

    geesh, szw!!!!

Didn't you already ask this in the sentra forum??

Look how frigin ugly the interior is in the SE-R. The dark dash and steering wheel and the tanned seat/etc. EWWWWW

I totally understand what you are going thru because I went thru all of it.

Trust me, you will totally regret it if you get the SE-R. The LSD on the Spec V is worth 1500 bux. It's helical and not viscous just so ya know

Please do yourself a favor and get the Spec V!!!!!!

And it's always nice to know that you've got more gears than you have fingers (plus thumb for those who wants to get technical ) on one hand.

If you have the extra $1500, it would make sense to get the better car

Just for the record, the Spec V doesn't need premium.

And go with the Spec V!!

If you can swing the extra $1500, go with the spec V. The upgrades you get would be cheap at twice the price.

Well, the Altima, with a slightly higher tuned version of the same engine (180hp/181tq) takes 87...
