How to go about building a custom house in SE neighbourhoods

We are looking to build a custom house in Cranston or Copperfield, how do I go about finding empty lots or building our own house? (IE like websites that show lot sizes and availability)

probably gonna have to build outsite the city limits, I think all the land within is already bought by the builders

you might be able to find out who/what builder owns the lot and than get them to design the home for you and build it

new areas like that probably have restrictive covenants as to size and style of houses to be developed to keep unity.

It might be custom, but you will need to follow some outlines, like smart boards, or battons.. etc...

With the market slowing down now, maybe some of the smaller builders will be willing to just sell the land, if you follow there outlines...

Developers like Carma or Hopewell don't sell single lots.

Ditto what Sputnik said. The big developers only sell to big builders, and lots are distributed via "lot draws." You only see raw lots being sold to all comers in botique developments, and there you are looking to drop > $300,000 just to get a lot.

I live in Cranston...my house is complete custom from the ground up....built by Vintage fine homes (baywest homes)

you dont want to build a "custom Home" in copperfield as its a very starter area.
