Stupid tiny bugs swarming my house sliding

Is anyone having problems with tiny flies (like thousands!) being attracted to your vinyl siding? We just power washed the exterior of the house last week. Does anyone know of a spray insect deterrent that is harmless to pets? I want to spray it on the sliding. We have a bug zapper but they only attracts some of the bugs away.

Any other suggestions???? These flies are so fucking annoying!

If you buy a spray be very careful. I had the same problem a few years back and bought some spray and it worked well but discolored my house severely. Now in certain spots I have big yellow marks that almost look like spray paint.
