    Default Feedback on redline_13000's work

So the backstory, I bought my house 6 yrs ago and had a front yard filled with landscaping rocks, dirt and giant bushes. I removed the bushes and started cutting done this "tree" in my front yard last year, but decided that it'd take me all summer to get it done. We rebuilt the deck that went around the front and side of my house last summer. So I left this giant pile of crap in my front yard and some ghetto rigged steps from last fall...

Yes, I probably had the ugliest yard in the city - and that's quite a feat considering i live in the NE

I saw a thread where redline_13000 (hasan) was saying he had a bobcat and decided to PM him. He came out a few days later to look at what had to be done and to be honest, I couldn't really decide how i wanted it to look. I had an idea, I gave it to him and he said "do you just want me to make it look good?". I said "yep, that's pretty much it".

He couldn't come over until Thursday to start - so thursday night I came home and he had dug the entire yard out (I didnt take any pics). Friday night I came home and it looked like this:

He came back this morning and cleaned up (this pic was taken before cleanup was done) and then was off!

He did an amazing job in the short amount of time he was here and I couldn't be happier. I went from having the worst front yard on the street to having the nicest in the span of 2 days. He was completely fair and up front about the cost of the job and I highly recommend him if you need any work like this done

Nice! Looks great- any plans for shrubs or something along the walkway?

probably not - that's actually black wood chips/mulch there (not dirt). I was thinking about putting some flower pots up there, but they will most likely get stolen

Yep! we will be planting some flowers in there! They should be far enough back where people won't come by and try to take them...

    LOL, I love the honesty!

Anyways, looks infinitely better! When you decide to move, the retaining wall will be a great selling feature versus the Police tape usually found accentuating properties, and adding to the authentic aesthetic feel there.

    hahaha sorry, couldn't resist.

    Good work!

No railing? Anything retaining the dirt under the stairs?

    MUCH improved.

Just a question: Is it me, or does the brickwork on the left of the stairs appear like it's already tilting outward?

Correct it is - I am at the moment guessing that it was slightly uneven when it was laid initially. Since they are interlocking, they're in no danger of falling over (i was standing up there last night trying to pull out some weeds).

My only gripe thus far was I decided to make that flower bed too deep and gave the weeds lots of room to grow.

Wow I opened this thread almost expecting a huge rant on crappy work.
So I am pleasantly surprised, good work redline, and good on you for keeping up the good reputation for beyonders!!
