02-04 C32 Reliability

After looking at a bunch of cars, I think that I've decided on the C32 (maybe a C350).

So I'm looking for input from the beyond experts on the reliability of the C32. Is the Valeo problem that persistent? SC clutch bearings? Other issues?

- Leaky Intercooler (MB replaced it with an updated part but same part #).
- Intercooler pump (you can use one from a Ford F150 with slight mods... $80 vs $600).

Those are the 2 big "problems" with that motor.

Any truth on that $3000 brake job that someone claimed on MBWorld?

If you go to the dealer? Maybe? haha.

I've had 4 discs and pads changed on the SLK32 (rears same, fronts are different) for $700. I think the fronts are a bit more expensive on the C32 because they're drilled and vented and have prettier calipers lol.
