As the topic says, need someone who's familiar with this area. Looking for a hotel to stay at in old Montreal, as close to the waterfront as possible.
thanks

Looking for a new VW? How about a used vehicle? We are Central Albertas #1 source for pre-owned vehicles
I will beat any deal on a new VW for beyonders
Gary Moe Volkswagen/Gary Moe Used Car Superstore!
Red Deer, AB
it's over-priced in old Mtl
Just go to a high rise d/t (delta) and you will be able to see the water with a 5-10 min walk to the old port / old Mtl.

oh ok cool thats good to know I don't mind the walk.. reason it has to be close is my parents are going to be down there with our boat so Im going to have to walk or take a cab to the waterfront to go meet them.

I was put up here last year for a photo shoot and it was awesome!

It's like a loft appt. Prices are actually pretty reasonable.
Travel
The W Hotel is very nice. It is about a five minute walk from the water and well situated otherwise. The bar is decent on Wed/Thurs as well as weekends and the service is great.
The St. James is a bit closer to the water but pricey.
wow that is cheap for what you get.. i'm gonna bookmark that.Originally posted by Ben

Sorry dont mean to jack the post Ryan but any sight-seeing recommand? I 'll going with family from oversea in a few weeks
Thanks
If youre into art the gallery museum is pretty cool, restaurants downtown are awesome. China town is small but entertaining, St. Catherines street has tons of shopping. Lots of cool shoe stores for your wife, park somewhere and take the subway everywhere.

-There are always events and free shows going on downtown during the summer!!! Don't know when Jazz-Fest starts but you should definaly check that shit out!!
-If you have time you can also head up north to Mont-Saint-Sauveur for waterslides or even Mont Tremblant for mountain biking, golf etc.

ottawa and hull aren't that far away. Military museum in Hull is amazing. There is a huge HUGE room with hundreds of military vehicules that you probably never saw in your life. It's like an hour and a half from Montreal worth the drive.
Just made reservations at St. James.. Ill post a review after the stay.Originally posted by E36M3

I agree..I love Ottawa just as much as Montreal. Museum of Civilization is a favourite, as well as the National Gallery.Originally posted by ekguy

Go see the real Mount Royal, Museum of Archaeology and History.
El Zaziummm for mexican food..it's in Mont Royal.
If you have time....and I am not religious...but this is an amazing place Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. There are some very beautiful churches in Montreal.
