Help! Aboriginal Work rights

I'm having trouble finding the law(or whatever it is) stating that oil and gas companies must hire aboriginals, while working on reserve land....

I know its a long shot, but can anyone link me to that section of gov't codes?

^^ AFAIK there is no LAW, what is helps them do is secure right of ways and access to the land if they enter into a contract with the band to hire their youth.

thanks for th info, i would of spent all night looking for a law (since i thought there was one ) but yes i guess that makes sence. I think i was just thinking that when drilling/producing oil and gas on a reservation, theres a tax that goes to the reservation.

I work for a power utility that builds the power lines to these sites so I am not directly involved with the land procurement process. However from the execs I have gone to meetings with, this was how I understood it.

So don’t make any life changing decisions on it without verifying it, but I believe it to be accurate
