maybe ask him what intercooler he has? aftermarket ones can be had for fairly cheap. Also check to see that its actually a ct20b and not a ct26 since clearly its not gen 3 (not all ct26 were stamped the same)

How do you remove the oil filter? Lookes like the cold pipe is directly over it.Originally posted by Redlyne_mr2
I think thats old school HKS IC Piping and possibly IC. The HKS setup is soo messed up, someone thought it would be a good idea to run the IC piping close to the exhaust manifold.. Also the throttle cable is mounted in a messed up way.. pretty inneficient.
Edit: Looked closer, thats not the throttle cable, is that a vacuum line for a boost controller?
Does anyone make an intercooler piping kit that REALLY clears the TRD strut brace? I've been playing with my KO Racing pipes and a week after you space them they move back and you get the clanking which drives me nuts.

Yah I ended up buying the EMS cold pipe.. clears without issues.

Valve cover is wrong for a gen 3 as well. I can't imagine how much heat that cold pipe picks up wrapping over the exaust manifold. I bet that bad boy gets screaming hot. There are just so many things wrong with that engine bay picture.
Ya it's the old school HKS intercooler/piping.
not worth it then? too risky?
in the end, you get what you pay for... especially with such old cars
for like 7000OBO

I think the question you need to ask your self is are you up to the job of repairing any thing that might be wrong even if it means laying out more cash? If not then walk away.
well im willing to lay out a lil bit..but not much more for a while..anyways i think im gonna pass this up, just too sketchy
