    Default Gas leak Toyota Soarer

does any one know about gas leaks from the gas filter, its coming out of the over flow tube, which is right under the car, and also a pipe thats attached to the gas filter under the hood. This all came about after the gas gasket was replace. Any ideas or suggestions as to what the problem could be would be great. And do u think the problem was caused from getting the gasket replaced? cus there was a leak in the gas gasket and was fixed. Right after, the from was draining gas, not drip by drip by just pouring out.

Unfortunatly all the 'wise guys' on this site are too egoistic to help out a guy with a JDM...if I was knowledgable enough to help I would but I'm not so I can't, I just like to comment

But good luck, try asking "The Governator" , he's got a soarer and is a nice guy!

Im sorry that not all Beyond members know the answer to the question, and that is why no one is replying.

If you wanted everyone who viewed the thread to say "Im sorry I got no idea what you should do" instead of leaving room for someone who knows the answerer to post, then im sure you wouldn't be able to find the answer in the mass of replies.

But Im sorry I don't know what you should do, But I would say bring it to a mechanic to get it checked out.

Lol, someone's a tad bit sour.

Are you sure you're referring to the fuel filter under the hood and not the fuel pressure regulator? Mine was leaking and would drip from the unit itself. The reason I ask is, perhaps if the regulator is leaking, you're not getting the correct pressure in the fuel lines, and its causing a build up of pressure in the tank, which is in turn leading to fuel dripping out of the overfill hose? Just a suggestion, I'm nowhere near 100% positive on this.

Unfortunately, not many people here can help you because A, they can't see your car. B You're better off taking it somewhere to get it fixed promptly if you can't diagnose and fix the problem yourself especially when it involves a fuel leak.

well i work at kal tires, and i got it "fixed" there, and they fucked up more shiet then they fixed. so to anyone else, i dont suggest taking ur car to kal tires for anything other than tires, the mechanics are total retards...which lead me to quiting...

I bet that whoever replaced the gasket on the tank hooked the beather, and return hoses up backwards. In the event that your tank is more than about half full, and pressurized, it will push its way back through the breather, which is incorrectly hooked up to the return fitting.
