i personally do not think he deserves this at all. and i dont hate on phaneuf. i think hes good, but at the same time he's highly overrated.

I couldn't agree more, I'd rather see someone else on the cover, crosby, AO... iggy...so many other that are better suited, but phaneuf just isn't cover material...

I am a fan of phaneuf though, good for him.

Marty Turco from the Dallas Stars was on this or last years cover for 2k if I remember correctly.

EDIT: It was Nhl 2k6 Marty was on, but back in 94 in the first EA NHL, Andy Moog of the Bostin Bruins was a cover athlete.

that may be the case but look at the jinx he had this season after being signed to that incredibly generous contract extension.

phaneuf is highly over paid and over rated which is why hes hated by so many but hes still good..... reguardless, i dont think he deserves this.

Those features sound like a big improvement, especially the 60fps for ps3, i wonder if madden will be the same there.
Also 6vs6 will be great.
