Default Tweeter wont work, is the ohm's?

im setting up a real 5.1 system through my computer sound card. i will eventually like to refit this setup into my future car but right now i cant get my tweeters to work.

    here is what i did
i took a pair of energy speakers and took out the tweeters so that i can reposition them high and to the sides.

but when i try to get them to play outside of the box, they wont work!

my amplifier puts out 8 ohms so could that be the reason?
i even tried to put the speakers in series and connect them but still nothing.

    my sony tweeter works.

car amps put out 4 ohms so hopefully i wont have any trouble then.

not a single one of your pics work.
Tweeters are remarkibly sensitive, and if you put un-equalized sound into them, even for a split second, you may have fried them. You cannot generally put any frequencies less then (generally speaking) 1000hz into the tweeters, at much of any volume. If you hooked them up directly to the amp, then you may have ruined them.
Anyways, re-post those pics on a (free) image hosting site such as www.photobucket.com
    or www.imageshack.com
and I'll do my best to help from here.

Car amps don't "put out" any ohms.

Please familiarize yourself with basic electrical terminology before you go ripping things apart. Then, once you know what Ohm's Law is, come back and ask again since I can't make any sense out of what you wrote.

Okay, if you want to replace them, check out this post I made in another tweeter related thread.
Voss Electronics is a very small electronics store about 1 block north of Tunerworks on that same 1A street. (it'll be on your right.. if your heading northbound with a very small square sign.)

He has tons of tweeters, mid-ranges and so forth to choose from. Also the parts needed to create whatever crossover you'd need.
Bring your old ones, and you'll find some new ones, abiet they wont be exact, but quite simular. They'll need to be crossed over differently, but thats an asinine amount of work, so you'll have to live with the slight difference in sound.
