At the very least this should take some of the pressure off as stations become paranoid about being accused and keep prices a bit lower to keep a low profile

if you do please enlighten me because
1) they could have gotten fined for having gas higher than normal
2) they could have gotten fined cause those stations were selling cheaper.

because there are fines against companies that also sell products for below cost. Canadian trade laws seem to say they encourage free trade but yet limit how high or how low companies decide to sell their products. Dont get me wrong, I have issues with the govt deciding to fine a company if they decide to sell products for lower than cost value. But nevertheless, there is a fine for selling goods/products below a certain cost determined by the govt.Originally posted by sr20s14zenki

Not for selling gas. Look at those gas stations that run those stupid 5c/liter promotions some days or something.Originally posted by GQBalla

And its not that they were charged for raising the price too high, its because they conspired with other stations to set the price. I don't think it matters what the level of that price is.
