    Cool new turbo purchase...*updated pics*

Finally got back into town for the summer and decided to upgrade the turbo to something a little larger while im here. Should arrive this week and be ready to go within a week or so. By the looks of it, this will be my last turbo upgrade.
Obviously some things need to be moved around a little bit to fit the 9-10" wide compressor housing
For those that care...it is a Borg Warner & flows 94lbs/min.

Here are some pics of the turbo:

On a B-series motor of some kind...

    Next to a T67 I believe...

    Some random guys holding it...

Here is what a slightly larger Borg turbo sounds like when it spools, etc...

It will be going on my Prelude...same motor setup generally. Custom built F20B block with H22 head.

Just needed to step up a few items to handle the excess power & boost...since this thing will see 35-40psi. I will have to see whether the dual fuel pump setup will max out before the 1600cc/min injectors before i make the next changes.

I don't see how you get near enough traction to use that thing. But I hope you can even a little.

I now have zero traction issues on the drag radials...2nd gear up, no spinning at all as long as i keep it under 450whp (15psi or less). Same will hold with the new turbo...
As for traction at full boost...that is what big 26" slicks are for.

Thats kind of where I'm confused. Whats the use of a huge snail that you can't use in it's efficiency range, when you could have stuck with your old (I assume smaller, yet still plenty big) turbo that would be more fun. It just sort of seems to be a useless street turbo for such an application is all.. Will you be at the track a lot?.. I'm still glad to see another big borg on the go though.

Exactly what I was thinking. Why not just use a smaller turbo in its efficiency range and make similar power (and have lower rpm spool).

I think his current turbo tops out at 600hp. His goal is more around 850 I think (on race gas of course).
