Broken Corolla trunk latch

Hey all,

My ladyfriends 2000 Toyota Corollas trunk won't open with the release or by turing the key in the lock cylinder. The seats wont fold down because the release is in the trunk. Is there any way I can open the trunk to replace the latch without having to take the rear seats out? Any help would be appreciated.
