Default LF: Someone knowledgeable in repair on KA24DE

I've got a small oil leak, and I think a shot ignition. Won't start up, apparently does not even attempt to start, that's why I don't think it's the battery. I'm about to go look now (my dad was the one who tried turning it on and it didn't work). If someone located in Calgary could come take a look and possibly work on it I can give them a case of beer, or a bottle of scotch / wine or if they prefer money. PM me please I need to have it running by this sunday

K, so my dad was wrong it's not a ignition issue boost start worked after a few tries. It started clicking when I turned it a few times but after a few tries it eventually started. And now has no problems starting up. I figure it's been left for awhile the battery drained or the alternator wasn't supplying enough. So it's battery and that's not a problem but the oil leak is still existent if someone could still have a look at that it would be very helpful. I live in SW in Somerset.

I can only tell from the bottom. That's why I was hoping someone with a lift could stop by, hike it up so we could get a better look. I'll take a photo tomorrow of where it's leaking out the bottom, but there's a guard on the bottom of the engine that's stopping me from seeing it so i'd have to take that off before getting a better look

Guard... sounds like the front of the engine. Probably the front main seal. Easy to replace once you get the fan and shroud out of the way... Or you can do it from underneath the car, if you jack her up.

Could you do that? In exchange for above mentioned payouts?

Yes it's at the front I know that for sure, front right is where it's leaking from, but again it's leaking out the front right side of the guard so it might be funneling when it hits it.

    How much for new seal?

Seal is like $11.70 or something like that from nissan.

Well I could do it if I had a torque wrench for the front main pulley. I 've taken mine off and on a few times (did it today to be exact) but I always just take a breaker bar to torque her back up. Cause it's torque spec is pretty high, like 140 pounds or so. I just want to make sure on someone else's car it's torqued back up right.

Where are you in Calgary? Is there anyway I could get you to look first at the car then if that's the problem if you could replace it for me?
