Fucking fireworks, god damn kids and the police

Have things really changed that much in the last 6 or 7 years? No I don't think so but when I was 14 or 15 and was messing around with my buddies I didn't do shit that could kill people. I was driving home from my girlfriends house late monday night I had just turned right off of Anderson onto 14th St. heading towards 90th ave. I had just passed under a pedestrian over pass when i hear a loud bang and flash from where my hood meets my windshield. Suffice it to say that I pulled over in one hell of a hurray, because my car didn't pull and I did a brief exterior inspection I new it was not something that blew up in my damn engine. So the only logical explanation was some fucking kids were throwing shit at cars so I tore after them ripping my brand new $200 hoodie on the god damn fence I had to jump over and to boot they started thowing firecrackers at me when I chased them. I didn't really know what I would do if I caught them but killing them did go through my mind breifly. It was late and dark and I never really saw the people I just heard the firecrackers getting thrown at me all the while I'm on the phone with the cops who are telling me they aren't even going to send one fucking crusier to look for them because i couldn't ID them. I felt like telling the cops that if I found the kids before they did they might as well send an ambulance but my better judgment took over. Anyways lost them walked back to my car double checked to make sure my girlfriend was ok and drove home so pissed off I thought I would implode. So this post is more to bitch about 2 things. 1: Kids doing stupid shit the get from shows like jackass and then twisting them to a point where they are doing stuff that could kill people. I hit my breaks so hard if someone had of been behind me my shitty little car never would have had a chance. 2: Cops that won't do anything when you need them but when your running late for work they are always right around the god damn corner to hand you a ticket.

I've got a dozen of those myself, theyre probably around the same age, I still plan setting them off, one of these days... I'm just not going to be within a 10 meter radius when I do (or have anything flamable within that range either)

I feel your pain. Three years ago I had a kid throw a snowball off the bridge over crowchild by the university. Smashed my whole windshield, glass sprayed all over my (ex) gf...couldn't see anything, had to slam on my brakes going 80+kms/hour. Easily could have killed someone.

I lost a year off my life from the anger I felt that night.

set it off, roman candles are great fun, i had one sit for a few years, it still worked fine.

I had buddies that used to do that as well. Middle of MacLeod Trail shooting them at each other. Probably not very smart but funny as hell.

The stupid part is, there all telling their friends about it and everyones having a laugh. I only say this because i think most of us can reflect on throwing snowballs at cars at some point and the adrenaline and stories it brought to you.

Son of a bitch - we were coming back from Fernie on Monday night and when I drove under that exact overpass some huge snowball/mudball hit my hood/windshield.

I wasn't sure if someone tossed it, but now we know for sure. Certainly wasn't a firecracker/explosive though. I would have chased and killed as well, but wife and kid in car = no chase.

No worries, those same kids will hopefully become drug dealers and get shot dead one day. Or maybe they will get drunk one night and smash their car around a tree. OR maybe they just grow up to become complete losers in life. The universe has a weird way of working itself out.
