Default Microsoft Word Formatting: locking the "view formatting" of a document?

I use charts with invisible borders on my resume. If the person who views the resume has their view settings to show formatting, the chart lines will kinda show up and look pretty ugly/messy. Is it possible to lock a document so when it loads with the formatting turned off on a persons computer(who has the formatting on by default)?

No, a lot of places don't want to accept PDF files for some unknown reason. Anyways, I guess its not that big of a deal. Only psychopaths view documents with all the formatting shown

Ok it turns out what I was trying to explain is actually just called gridlines of a table.

This webpage goes over a solution since gridlines are machine specific: http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HideGridlines.htm (Turn borders ON...but colour them white. A pretty good solution IMO.
