    Default FS:$300 - Nikkor DX AF-S 18-70mm lens f3.5/4.5G IF ED

In extremely good condition, zero scratches: gently used only 1-2 times.
Comes with everything found in box, lens hood, carrying bag, instructions.

Warranty card is not filled in, and if you are in the Calgary area and need the lens to be serviced, I can send it in for you, as I have the original invoice.

A very popular lens range for an exceptional deal. Compatible with the all the D-series Cameras (digital SLR)

    $300 firm.

    PM me if you're interested.

Nikon warranties are non-transferable, sorry. The only way to get it serviced under warranty is if the buyer has you send it in.

Oh really? The sheet itself hasn't been filled out..

    Blah.

Edit: Oh right, Vistek mentioned that you have to send it back to the Manufacturer to get it fixed. Unless I'm hideously wrong.

Yeah, it has to be sent back to Nikon for repair. Basically, the name it's shipped from/to has to match the name on the original invoice that you send in with the lens for warranty repair. Thus, to get it serviced, you either have to have the original buyer send it in, or you pretend to be the original buyer. I ran into that problem when I bought an SB-800 as part of a group-buy and it needed servicing, I had to pretend I was the original buyer when I sent it in. It worked out fine, though, they don't really do any in-depth checking.

I see. Well, if anyone has the name Tanya Lam, or perhaps a girlfriend/sister who is willing to pretend that she is, then I also have the original invoice.

If not, I may need to sell this thing for quite a bit cheaper. Curses, Nikon.

What I would do is include the original invoice and tell them basically what I said in this thread - if it needs warranty work, send it in but say they're you in any correspondence. In my case, I just said I was the guy who'd bought it originally but I'd moved from the original shipping address. Nikon happily fixed it and mailed it to *Original buyer's name* at my home address, and they were none the wiser.

Basically, it's quite easy but requires a bit of subterfuge.

Problem is, is that it has my student Id on it, since I got a discount. So perhaps when it is purchased, I can give Nikon a call and let them know I have "moved" to the purchaser's new address.
