    Default Concrete driveway / sidewalk

Question for any legit concrete guys out there. When a driveway & sidewalk are freshly poured (new house) how long before you can:

    - Walk on it?

    - Park on it?

They did it today when I wan't there (wife was home) and they didn't tell her anything.

Walk on it? Give it a couple of days.

Park on it? A couple of weeks.

Wet has nothing to do with it. You want it wet. It will be stronger. You can walk on it in a couple hours 5 hours 6 hours. Park on it week

Don't you need to change the "what I drive" section of your profile?

Yeah leave it over night before walking on, then a week you can park on it no problem.. I just wouldn't park anything crazy on it, or jack anything up on it for a few weeks (as in putting a lot of force in a small area).. I've poured tons of it.

The people across the street just got a new concrete driveway put in, about a week later they were parking on it, I noticed because they decided to park right infront of my house, completely across the culdisac from them... I dont really care but it was still pretty stupid, they must hate me because of all the noise my cars make :P

You CAN walk on it pretty much a couple hours after its poured, but shouldnt for a few days (especially on the broom finish). Park on it is minimum 28 days.

Is this for "warranty" or what? Because when we poured our own, we had tractors and everything else on it after a week.

My neighbours were parking on their drive way about a week after it was poured. Now if you look at it from a distance you can see wavy tire indents up and down the drive way lol. I would wait a couple weeks for sure.

It was fine to walk on this morning (24 hrs) but we've been parking on the street for three months so what's another few weeks right.
