I was just up there this weekend. Not much to do there, although I own a place up there.

I'm not mocking you to your face either.Originally posted by CK4500
Correction.
Every Thursday night, show & shine behind the Superstore. I've met lots of nice people there. They are true enthusiasts who appreciate your effort and hard work. They are mature enough not to mock you to your face at least!

Do people grow up (maturity-wise) slower in Australia than in Canada?

There are some decent and dedicated members of the DSM crowd in red deer. Not a JDM car but still...
"Hey, I'm a firm believer in the philosophy of a ruling class. Especially since I rule."
So much fail, almost a win.
I found the whole car scene for myself in Red Deer died off when Creations went kaput. Now Chris & Co. keep to themselves in their VW's. And then the Cambodian Tire on the north end had that stupid starbucks put in the corner where everyone used to meet. Unfortunatley you are most unlikely to find anybody around that isn't a retarded 16y.o driving a riced out car. I mean sure there are alot of nice cars around but the people driving them do not have the slightest inkling about the mechanical aspects of a car.Well no.. I was more interested in meeting people who had a genuine interest in performance 4 bangers. Ugh.. I moved from home to home again with an accent eh ?
You'll see me bombing around in a very, very loud (faster then a speeding Civork!) rusty red Sprint Turbo. I'll be keeping my eyes out for a RHD CRX. There are a few folks who know whats going on but I have found very few people I can have an intelligent conversation with about cars.
Oh yeah, the magazine "Thru the windshield" has some info about car meets, show and shine, swap meets, etc.
It's a local magazine, but it's not too bad. google it.

Living in Red Deer the only scene worth looking into is the Bike scene. IMO. Real bikes though not the $5,000 crotch rockets.
