SCREENSHOTS please. If possible?
I'm still in the Vault!
very close to getting out now
but I've also found a few bugs and crashed on the PC.
so far so AWESOME, I can't wait to play some more.
Is there any advantage to creating a window's live account?
I noticed the physics is not as good as HL2
but Fallout 3 is an RPG so i could live with that
where did it crash at?, haven't had a problem yet
Spoiler:
right after the Amataa gave the bobby pins, my brother went straight to that room and killed the overseerer and the other guy lol, i was like 'you're an idiot, she just gave you stuff to lockpick!' but i guess that determines your personality or something later on
just buy it lol, i'll try for some slow mo bloody ones after workOriginally posted by treg50

Haha I went out for dinner and hung out with some friends around 8. I wasn't playing it that whole time....Originally posted by DENZILDON
A790, holy crap, how long have you been playing? My head still hurts from the radiation after a few hours!
I got up to the highschool and megaton. Sooooooo hard to choose a perk! TIP for the newbies, try to get educated and fast learner skills early. The rewards are awesome!!! Looks like the repair skills also needs some beefing up. And save, save, SAVE!
Found a few bugs already but its not too bad. (Pistol won't holster in megaton unless you take a sit). But overall it's the best game remake considering Fallout 2 came out 10 years ago. Love the lockpicking!!!!
A790, using your noodly appendage of "mod-hood", i think it would be prudent for the obviously avid players of this game to have a "Spoiler allowed" tips and hints thread. I want to post a bunch of questions in this thread, but don't want to ruin it.
Not a bad idea or we can just change this thread title to Fallout 3 - Hints and Tips **Spoilers**
I'll leave it up to A790. I can add a few more pointers.
where is COLIN MCRAE, in megton city?
and
how do i use my pipboy map thingy? i remember the old fallout...u walk out side of town and u can walk too any city u have listed
First of all this game is amazing. Anyone gotten the schematics for the Shishkebab yet? So sweet lol. I am playing on the PS3, and have no problems , except one. Dunno if its like this for anyone else but if a friend comes online/offline the game pauses until they little notice disappears , kind of brutal when someones net is messing up and they pop on and off 10 times in 2 minutes lol.
Other than that, my god this game is huge. And sick.
Oh and to fast travel just open up your pip boy, go to world map and put your cursor over a location you have been to and hit confirm ( depending on what you are playing it on, for PS3 its X)
Hope that helps
This play through its gonna be all good karma and such. Next Playthrough........ pure and utter evil. Gonna be fun!!

So... something interesting I came across:
Spoiler:
Right after I had fought my way to Galaxy News Radio with the Brotherhood (all the while picking up a TON of ammo and power armor along the way) I had the epic battle there (you'll know what I'm talking about) and then booted it on back to Megaton to drop some stuff off at my place. I've deciding that hording weapons/ammo/health is probably a good idea.
Anyway, I wandered around the D.C. area and came across... the VALT-TEC headquarters! Inside are a few supermutants having it out with some robots. Unfortunately, the robots are hostile. I fought my way all the way to the top, killed a ton of robots (each robot has energy cells in them, so I used a good condition energy pistol I found) and finally accessed the VAULT-TEC mainframe. The prize? The location and access codes of a bunch of other vaults.
Could be good for weapons/tech later on? I don't know. You have to access three different computer systems to actually gain access to the mainframe itself. Also, if you take down the mega-brain (I used a precious Fat Man mini-nuke) and then search the body you will have the option to shut down all the other robots/turrets. Easy win, right?
A790, how many of your precooked meals have you gone through??
can u tell me COLIN MCRAE, in megton city?
ive talked too everyone and running around killing raiders lol
The people move around, so just keep looking dude. Check the saloon and the food/bomb area.Originally posted by gen2teggy

I have two cans of Stagg Chili left, two cans of Chuky soup, a freezer full of chicken/steak, and a pizza joint on speed dial.Originally posted by kragnorok

OH, and you can do a little arbitrage early on in the game too...
Spoiler:
The Stahl family food place (I forget what it's called) sells Sugar Bombs for 7 caps (depending on your charisma/barter levels). If you head to the town by Ardeuf you'll find a grocery story. Go inside, kill the rad roaches, and then you'll also find four more boxes of Sugar bombs.
In the subway entrance beside the grocery store you'll find two ghouls who are willing to pay you for Sugar Bombs so they can make ultrajet. Now, if your speech is high enough, you'll be able to negotiate 30 caps/box. You should already have 5 boxes, so WHAM, 150 caps.
Funny you said that. Since I'm the chef at home, I keep on insisting my wife to just buy food to go!Originally posted by kragnorok

Ok so I played a lot of games in my life going right back to programming and playing games on a Vic-20, But I have to say I havent played any of the Fallout series. I was told though that Fallout 3 is like Oblivion, but in the future after a bomb went off. Can you play in 3rd person or do you have to play first person?
Also should I get this for ps3 or PC? Other then cranking the graphics on a PC is there any other differences?
Thanks guys

Hmm, I don't think the "Oblivion with guns" assessment is really correct. You CAN play in 3rd person, but you won't want to.Originally posted by snoop101
