What do you think the chances of someone getting off of these charges are, caught on the wrong side of the road, charged with dangerous driving and impaired driving?
oh and with balfour der as a lawyer

I say stupid shit all the time.
Bahahahaha, you are a loser.
Epic fail. You'll get off for sure, because Alberta rewards drunk drivers instead of punishing them like they deserve. But you do deserve jail time.
I absolutely HATE that it is legal for lawyers and specialty companies to fight the charges on behalf of some drunken idiot.

With der as your lawyer the courts will actually pay you for inconveniently pulling you over
Silly Thaco, we've already seen this recently. He'll get VERY relaxed house arrest rules while waiting for trial and then they'll probably sentence him to 7 years but let him out in 3, maybe 4, depending on his level of douchebaggery in prison. Then he'll be free and clear to continue killing people.Originally posted by Thaco

Relaxed House arrest is correct...since I can see his ugly mug from my Deck.....just hearing that he's playing with his kids pisses me off.....Originally posted by Melinda

I saw the victims (the Davey's) they seem to be doing good....but I believe that Kevin has taken a leave of absence from work to take care of his family, that scumbag has the luxury to go to work, enjoy time with his kids and have time to buy necessities on the weekends.....
I know that there are 2 sides to a story, I'm sure that his kids are getting alienated, but really how does maybe 2 years of prison really compare to that of a lifetime without a mother/caregiver/friend/soulmate.....
my question is: what is MADD's stance on this?....haven't heard any response from them about this

I think they should let him have his house arrest until his trial, that way in a year when he goes to trial and gets 2 years, he only get 1 year "time served" and be out a year later... he'll get to explain to his kids why daddy is gonna be going away for a while, and hopefully his wife finds another guy while he's away, tear his life apart similar to what he's done to others. (just to an obviously lesser degree)

To the OP, you are a f***ing idiot. You don't have the right to be on the road driving drunk with my family out there too. Who the fuck do you think you are? I hate peope like you who think that they are gods gift to all. Fuck you and the piece of shit car you rode in on.

One of the charges was driving with a suspended license-I hope you are watching this douchebag and bust his ass driving-these guys never learn and will eventually the urge to drive will get the better of him.

Innocent until proven guilty-remember that's the basis of our system of law. He is entitled to a lawyer to defend himself, whether it's Balfor Der or Alan Hepner (another defender of douchebags out there).
You may not like the fact he is entitled to a lawyer but I think you are associating his douchebagity (is that even a word?) for his legal right to a lawyer. And FWIW, driving is a privelage, not a right.
Not defending him by any means-only his right to legal council. I hope iloveit burns in hell. Effen 08's!
I'm in favour of a zero tolerance policy for impaired driving.
If you can afford to drink your face off, you should be able to afford a cab-ride home.
^ I agree 100%
Sentencing should include a brick wall and a firing squad.
