So im guessing there is literally no alternative other than having someone help take care of it for a week or so eh?
Your best bet would be to start at some of the better shops and look at portfolios. Sure we can all suggest someone, but really, you should be willing to do some legwork and check out portfolios and talk to different artists, and so on, if you are going to get something permanent.Originally posted by Dumbass17

I went with the fast and convenient route on a few of mine and i now regret them. The tattoos I took the time to do my research I am super happy with and am now working with one of those artists to complete my neck, shoulder, hand and eventually sleeve.
I know what you're saying. Don't worry, I have a list of who I am going for what, I just haven't looked around for this particular tree/Lake idea yet and was looking for a short cut starting point.Originally posted by ekguy

Enso, Deadly, Smiling Buddha, Honor Bound are all good spots to start. I'm sure there's a couple other great ones to add to the list.
I know the shops. I said artist. I have a full sleeve and have done research, I just never came across an artist (in the past) that had trees in their portfolio. Nevermind hahaOriginally posted by ekguy

Hmmm...no idea. Not anywhere near the styles i've had done so far.
Good luck on your search.
Really you just want to find someone who seems to specialize in realistic nature type things such as animals, birds, fish etc. By proxy they should be well versed in anything realistic like that. I am really good friends with many top tier tattoo artists and I cannot say any of them would say they "specialize" in trees...Originally posted by Dumbass17

I do know a fellow that does absolutely sick nature work and has done lots of trees etc, but he is in Van... Worth the trip for sure!

In town, a lot of the names already mentioned are excellent... James Tex, James Jacobs, Doug Fink, etc etc etc...
James Jacobs did my quote on the my back as well. If I do ever get something else, he's the guy I'd like to go to. He was with Bushido at the time and I believe he's on his own at Enso now?
Another artist I was recently told about that seems to have some amazing work. He's out of Edmonton.

It's the wiping part. You have the tattoo in your crack so obvs you don't want to wipe that away/ get it dirty with poo 'cause it's an open wound.Originally posted by ekguy

My list of random For Sale (some free) stuff
Good question. I don't actually know either. I think I tipped about $300 total for my full sleeve. 4 sessions. No idea if that was high or low but it felt right at the time haha (I say this to all the pretty* ladies)Originally posted by s_havinga
