I like niceeee
that nice! how did u get your hands on one of those?!
I think the biggest question is, how did you manage to bring in a car that's less than 15 years old? Hoping you'd share the loophole that got your car here .
There are many of us here that are interested in importing such vehicles, but the 15 year old rule makes it tough hehe.

2+2 turbo.....very nice. At least you brought over something that didn't exist in this market. I would be doing a double take if I saw that on the road.
exactly.Originally posted by rage2

hmmm....loophole.....in all actuallity i got it from a guy who was advertising it in the edmonton journal.
he did not give me any specifics and/or forms....but all i know is that my car is really a 90 but on paper an 88.
he just said that he had some friends in higher places???
he used to import japanese bikes but now he is moving on to cars. other than that i dont know too much. sorry guys
hehe as I suspected... VIN swaps . Be very very careful with the car... u don't want to give the insurance company a reason to dig into the car's history.Originally posted by FairladyZ

Yeah, that would suck if they found out.
Must be weird driving a standard on a right hand drive, I don't think I could ever do it.

the registry gave me a new vin # i dont think it was swapped.
and as for insurance i dont even think that they know that it is a right hand drive.....
and im not going to give his name but he owns the former club climax...
cant u still import a car over 15 years of age, but just have to pay duty and GST? coz once its over 125 then yea its needed to b part of the RIVs program, but cant u still do it jus pay duty n shit?
you'd think so, but you get real used to it once you get into first gear.Originally posted by Hakkola
