Correct me if I'm wrong but your are renting a condo which allows dogs? (landloard & condo board were my hints)
If this is true, no one has no right to force you to get rid of your dog unless there was an exsisting BY-LAW registered with the condomium plan at the city stating specifics.
And further more, even if they got the 75% or more vote from collective owners to forbid dogs, because you were already in the unit prior to the by-law being passed they would have to "grandfather" you in and any other exisitng owners with dogs.
I am the VP of my condo board who has a dog in a building that claims no dogs and even has signs but no by-law to back it up. I dared them to take me to court and see what happens to the reserve fund after they pay for both the condos and my legal fees.
Too many cocksuckers out there I tell you.
Sorry to continue this conversation cause I'm sure at this point its the last thing you want to talk about but I just wanted to make sure you didn't get the shaft incase there was a chance to get your dog back.
Sorry about your situation
