A Sudanese airplane was hijacked Tuesday after taking off from a city in the southern Darfur region, Al-Jazeera reported.
The Qatar-based news agency said the airplane was en route to the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, from Nyala in Darfur.
The plane was heading for Libya after authorities in Egypt denied the pilot permission to land, Al-Jazeera said.
Eighty-seven passengers are aboard the Sun Air plane, according to an airline official cited by the AFP news agency.
Interesting... I wonder what these guys want.
