Default WTB: old athlon t-bird or duron cpu

Anyone have an old athlon/duron cpu just kicking around?

    Looking for:

    Athlon Thunderbird 750-1.3Ghz (200Mhz FSB)
    Duron 600-950Mhz (200Mhz FSB)
    Athlon Palomino 1Ghz-1.33Ghz (266Mhz FSB)

    Thanks!

I dunno... the manual specified 950Mhz as max, but I do have the multiplier settings for it to get to that speed... it *might* work... i dunno, I'll have to try it first.

Goto the motherboard manufacturers website and see what the latest BIOS update supports. I've never been able to get one working that wasn't explicitly listed, even with the right mult/bus settings. But they do put out updates to support faster and faster chips.

Im out of town till Monday - if you want the 1100 it can go for 20 bucks then.

I have a duron 750. If the duron 1100 Khyron's selling works on my board, I wouldn't mind the upgrade...

I have an XP 1700 (1.47 GHz) Assuming 266MHz FSB and the correct multiplier settings (11 in this case) with a 462 pin ZIF socket, you could probably make it work....

The mobo only supports the above CPUs. No XP stuff or anything in the 266Mhz FSB. Thanks anyways.
