Default SMART cars all that smart?

I heard that a SMART car carrying 4 passengers was in a serious wreck. Makes you wonder just how safe these so-called smart cars are. Is it worth saving a few pennies worth of gas?

actually the smart car is surprisingly safe... look up its crash test videos.

that said... they feel very unstable at high speeds on the highway... they are very light and kinda skiddish.

Not sure where West Crampton is located, but you can only purchases the ForTwo coupes in North America. Theres no way you can fit 4 people in that car, are you sure about that?

frick man, has anyone met an 08 yet that hasn't made a thread like this? why cant i remember things being like this in previous years?

op: do you have more details about this 'wreck'? and how it would have been different if it wasn't a smart car? Also how the fuck do you fit more then 2 people in a smart car... thats probably why everyone got so messed up. We dont have the 4 seaters here yet

Look what douche wandered back to Beyond.

Smart Four Two's are two seaters. Now stop making retarded threads! You'd think you would have learned the first time!

In the same breath, owning a SMART car is smarter than owning a dodge.

i wouldnt say they are unsafe, i would rather be in an accident in a smart than in something say like a dodge stratus, shudder.

I actually want a Smart car myself.

But I don't think it is best for winter driving, or winter highway driving. I think it was designed for city driving - correct me if I am wrong?

I had one and actually loved driving it! There fine in the winter with winter tires, they max out at 140km/hr; I would say a fun car to take to banff, probably not a drive to Vancouver though.

Actually , its not. Those crash tests are against a immobile object. I dealt with a lot of files with smart cars in accidents... i have to hand a few of them over to a casualty unit. I don't care about this "roll cage" they have in them, its a joke.

Actually, in a head on crash with a C-Class, the smart car comes out on top.

    And Kona, it's ForTwo

Remember that guy from van a while back, I think he had a volvo or something, and was mentally fucked and on med's, but then he wasn't taking the meds and in trouble with the cops.. And he thought they were after him..

I wonder who he is now, theres so many retarded newbs around it's hard to guess.. Hell he may have 10 accounts and it depends on the day which he is.

I find it funny how when they shift the whole car rocks from front to back. Didn't think they had enough power for that.
