Anyone from beyond going to their Sait orientation tomorrow? Maybe we can meet up before classes start.

Also is it a full day orientation or can you leave when you feel ready to?

what program are you taking?

My PET orientation was pretty much 2 full days

Hope you're right. Business Administration says my orientation is from 8 am to 5pm that is way to damn long I'm hoping that isn't true.

yah, we are going to run around and frosh all you first years.....there should be some bbq and maybe shows and such during next week iirc.

won't go until 5pm.

8-9am - everyone met in the gym and got in line-ups. assigned to orientation groups

10-11:30am - met in a room with your group, listened to some teacher talk about something. played the name game. i repeat, the name game.

11:30-12:30 - lunch, bbq on the soccer field which is a construction site now

1:30-> disorganized tour of campus

3:30 - they made us all go back to the gym for some important thing which didn't exist. everyone pretty much left.

the groups they had put us in was everyone in all of our classes for the term though. they had JUST started letting people change their schedule my first semester i think but nobody knew about it or how. meet as many people on your first day as possible as they'll likely be in your classes!

really, my orientation was meet at a classroom, teachers talked to us for a bit, dean of faculty, random other people from the faculty, then tour of campus by the teacher assigned to your random group, then back to room, few more speeches and we were done. BBQ was available after.

a few people i know who didn't go to orientation got a phonecall from SAIT but nothing too major i assume because they didn't get kicked out haha. like i said, the biggest reason to go is to meet some people so your first week of classes you aren't that kid who doesn't know anyone.

ohhhh, come to think of it...the first week of my BA program we actually didn't really have classes...the whole first week was like, seminars on time management and how to use microsoft outlook and get along with people. shoot, that was a boring week.

Actually it was pretty good got a tour of sait, meet classmates, the bbq kind of sucked since it was inside and the burgers got a little cold. Overall really glad I went
