There is another forum I read that requires that you use your real name. You can have a handle/username, but you real name shows up below it. It changed that forum overnight from being a hater fest to good discussions. It too is a small community of users.

I am not suggesting that Beyond adopt using real names, but it will stop the haters if that was implemented. E-penises will shrink uncontrollably.

I think the biggest problem is the "I have a right to be here" mentality that everyone seems to take on. It seems that every time a new member joins, they just expect to fit in and to be liked, and make their place in the beyond monolith. The truth is that it seems you have a much better chance skimming under the radar when you join (as it should be) rather than trying to make a name for yourself. So many people join Beyond, and then instantly expect to find their place here, and to have everyone like them. In reality, you have to earn your name and the respect here, to some people that's more important.
