That looks pretty good and that seems like a pretty cool test track also.

Their track looks pretty epic and the hosts seems to be witty but I don't think anyone can be as brash as Jeremy.

    AUSTRALIAN STIG?!

As for the American, I read that Jay Leno denied being a host because he doesn't see how the show can imitate the original Top Gear, something about the BBC being a government station and doesn't care about advertising because it's government funded.

This makes sense because since the advertisers aren't funding their budget, they can be brutal about any maker whatsoever (Vauxhall.)

I guess only time will tell.

Like a blue stig or red... Two white stigs?

I mean there was already a black stig....

There wa snothing special about that video, doesn't say much about the show. Of course their gonna have fancy exotic cars for the preview. If its as entertaining as UK Top Gear it'll be good!

Looks ghey......nowhere near as interesting as the original. Their hosts seem wooden in comparison to Clarkson and crew - no personality.

I think it's a pretty lame idea myself.

Downloading it now but here are some of the comments. Doesn't look good...

Just a warning, I watched this as it aired on SBS-TV... and it is BEYOND terrible. I hated it. It tries to be a clone of the UK version. Even down to a poorly delivered STIG intro by a man trying to do a poor Clarkson impersonation. The other guy is a whiny Aussie ******.. I can't stand it! This will not get any better!! They should have been inspired by Top Gear UK, not tried to clone and even act like the original hosts.
the most sleepy show ever dont bother its just rubbish Im going back to re runs of fith gear.
    etc...

honestly why do americans and austrailians try to make a show about cars when more than half the population can't afford 80% of the cars on the show.

they should put consumer report shows on air in america and in australia they should make a show called Top Sail!

Let's keep in mind that the first season of UK Top Gear wasn't exactly the best thing ever, either.

But it was original to say the least in its time...which is what generally gets people interested.

Just like a western movie...original in its time...now would any of us watch brokeback mountain and say its good?

The show was okay I guess. Everything seemed like it was too short. The Porsche review was too short and figured at least they would do some kind of comparision with a regular gearbox Porsche. The Maybach review was crap, and I couldn't get into the challenge. At least there were some funny moments when they hit the icy hills. Didn't really like the shark bit either.

Have no clue how the test track looks like. With basically 2 camera covering it at track height with full zoom and shakiness (wonder if it's the same guy that filmed the cafe bits from Fifth Gear), it looked like just one long straight with some chicanes. Bleh.

Oh yeah, what was up with the Stig shifting gears in the GT-R? I thought you can only get them with the flappy paddle gearbox?

Anyways, not horrible enough for me to not watch it, but was pretty disappointing though. I guess I am too used to the polished Top Gear UK.

I watched it. Pretty awful imo. The scrawny guy tries to be all funny, the cartoonist is pretty dumb about cars, and overall they are an awful combination and just try to emulate jeremy james and richard. The softroader test was pretty dumb, the maybach review was horrendus, the hotlaps were stupid because they only showed tiny bits of them, the shark thing was stupid. The only saving grace i saw was the excellent 911S review and the rav4 jumping the dune at the end of the race.

    no time for grammar here.

Wow that made me cringe a bit when he got into the Lambo and immediately bounced off the rev limiter. I hope that car was warmed up before hand. Short test track too, seems a bit too easy.

Filmed just like BBC quality though

Hosts seem a bit way too happy imo

Not too fond of the "What were they thinking?" board....

Porsche review was short, maybach wasn't even necessary.

Not bad for first show, needs polishing

now im curious about Top Gear USA.....
