Hi Guys

Got an email recently about the this years toy run happening tomorrow
-------
Calgary, AB (July 29, 2008) - Santa’s sleigh is in storage, but he’s shining up his motorbike to help thousands of children and families. For the 23rd consecutive year, Santa and his friends in Calgary’s motorcycling community will be working together to collect toys for The Salvation Army’s Family Christmas Assistance Program. Motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to participate in the run, and the public is welcome to bring down a new toy, gift certificate or cash donation for the children (and meet Santa on his off-season motorcycle tour!).

Santa’s Parking Lot: Sunday, September 14, 2008
Chinook Mall
Meet at 9:00 am for a pancake breakfast and to join the ride. Rain or shine!

Ride: The ride will start at 11:00 am and participants will be escorted from the Chinook Centre parking lot by the Calgary Police Service. Riders will then safely follow the 65-70 minute route, before arriving at Ranchman’s for lunch. (This year the ride will not travel at the rate of a parade, but will follow posted speed limits instead.)

Reindeer BBQ: All participants in the Motorcycle Toy Run will enjoy a BBQ at Ranchman’s, silent auction, door prizes and more!

Participant Admission: A new, unwrapped toy, gift certificate or cash donation

This program helps close to 3,000 families with direct support at Christmas. Without this direct help, many of these families face hardship and despair. You can help by coming out to Chinook Mall between 9 am and 11 am to enjoy the bikes and toss a toy in The Salvation Army truck.
