    Default subwoofer in winter

so i have a 12" infinity perfect in the trunk of my car.
seeing as the car will be sitting outside over winter, should i be concerned if
the cone will crack or if anything will break from the extreme cold when i bump loll

    thx

Let it warm up before you blast it, plastic/rubber gets stiff in the cold and you can break/rip it.

i wouldn't put it as loud as you normally have it
and check on it every now and then
i had 2 12" alpine type r's in my accord over winter a few years back and they were fine
    just dont' BLAST it
but check for frost on them

Chances are nothing will happen. But Ive read some people with cheaper speakers have cracked their cone. Just dont turn it up so loud, you should be fine.

I've ran my 12 inch Rockford all winter, every winter since 2001 and it still pounds. Just have some common sense about it, you're not going to be able to push the excursion unless you've been driving for 20-30 minutes and the trunk has had time to warm up to a good operating temperature. So pretty much you can't turn it up at all, don't be tempted. The rubber will crack if it's pushed under extreme cold but it'll be fine if it's just used.

cold weather can be hard on subs. Start with cranking the heat in your car, but you are alrready going to do that aren't you? keep the volume low to start, the subs generate heat on their own, so give it some time before listening to them at normal volume.

Just let them warm up like you'd let your car warm up.
