    Default Daily Budget Tracker

    Hi guys,
    I'm trying to find a daily budget tracker that I can download online. I tried building one myself in excel but I can't seem to get the formulas to work out and it's frustrating.

    I basically want to know that if I have x amount to spend over the next two weeks until my next pay check, then I can track how much I spend each day and it'll recalculate my daily budget per day.

    Ex.
    I have $15 to spend over the next three days. I want it to break it down so that it shows I have $5 to spend each day.

    If I spend $3 on Day 1, I want it to automatically calculate and redistribute this through the remaining days, basically showing that I now have $6 to spend over the remaining two days.

    And if I spend $3 again on Day 2, then on Day 3 I will have $9 to spend.

    It sounds simple, and it's probably because my excel skills are weaksauce, but if someone could help me out with a spreadsheet like this or point me to one online that can accomplish this, I would be very grateful.

    For strictly budgeting, I don't think it gets any better than YNAB (you need a budget) ( http://www.youneedabudget.com/screenshots/ )

    I'm trying to use Excel! haha but these formulas are giving me a headache and it really shouldn't!

    I'll take a look at Quicken. But these seem to be overkill for what I need. But who knows, maybe I'll find it handy.

    Thanks for the feedback thus far guys!

    Quicken is the shit. You can download your bank statements and classify ever single transaction you make, then make pie charts and graphs showing how much money you spend on things like Fast Food each month.

    I like it because it I was disgusted once I saw how much money i was really spending on food and eating out.

    As far as doing that calculation in excel its really easy.

    Make a cell with your monthly budget (A1)
    Make a cell with how much you've spent already (A2)
    Make a cell with the function = TODAY() (A3)
    Make a cell with the date of the last day of the previous month (A4)

    So to calculate your daily spending allowance as it changes is pretty simple:

    =(A1-A2)/((days in current month)-(A3-A4))

    you can even use the function in your calculation:
    =(A1-A2)/(30-((TODAY())-E8))

    The only tricky part is how excel calculates the date and making sure you have the right format on the cells or else excel might try and format your dollars allowance as a date etc...

    that would be crazy easy in excel

    For a VERY basic one
    just basically have the following

    a1=days remaining
    b1=cash remaining

    then in c1 put (without quotes) "=b1/a1"

    it's not even math really

    cell a1 = your weekly budget
    cells a3 to f3 = (a1/7) + a5 and so on
    cells a4 to f4 = enter how much you spent
    cells a5 to f5 = a3-a4 and so on
    Sig nuked by mod.
