BritRail... Pass or Tickets
Here is the situation.
Rail from London to Leicester on Oct. 12
Rail from Leicester to York on Oct. 14/15
Rail from York to Leicester on Oct. 15
Rail from Leicester to London on October 16
8 Day pass - ~$300.00
Tickets pre-bought - ~$216.00 (but my dates are set then)
Purchase at the station - No Idea
from people who have taken the train before what is the best case in my situation?

id take the pass, because i never knew exactaly when i was going to be traveling

the pass gives you more flexibility and more travel days.
But if you opt for buying them individually, you do it at the station or book online.

If you know for sure that you need to take the trains on those specified days I'd go with prebuying the tickets. Although if you plan on doing some other rail travel during that period go with the pass...80quid is a lot of money. Have you looked into cheap day fares? I think you can save up to 50% on some journeys, but you would have to be on the train at a specified time.

Thats not bad at all. I usually just book mine online , and upgrade to first class for a little bit more (You can fall asleep and stuff.) Damnit i miss the mother land lol
