Is the USA going down??

Hi guys,

Everyone has seen what is going on with the economic collapse, but my brother is convinced we're on the edge of a full blown economic collapse, and that the US economy (and probably alot through out the world are screwed. any thoughts? is he a doomsday extremeist, or pretty spot on? let me know what you think.

Extreme. Global economies are too intertwined to allow something like that to happen. Plus, boom and busts are part of a free market economy. It happens.

Trust me, with all the crap that's going on down there, I'll know of people getting rich. If unemployment hits 10%, well, 90% of people still have a job

everyone cant get poor.... i think the richer(americans) will get a lil poor and the poor will get lil richer (china, india etc)
