    Default Dub Dyno

Dyno'ed my car yesterday. Here are the results:

    160.2 whp
    216.4 torque

Was a bit disappointed to see such a low hp figure but pleased with the torque. I'll post the scan of the graph once I've scanned it at work tomorrow. For now, here's a pic of my car being run.

edit: if this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it to the right one

How much HP gain did he get with the chip alone? how much hp did VW say the car had stock? really impressive tq though.

Stock is supposedly 180 hp and 173ft/lb

Allowing for 15% drivetrain loss, the dyno numbers are like 184hp and 249 ft/lbs at the crank.

I'm getting a lot of surging since the chip was put in, so with a new N75 valve, my boost should smooth out and bump the hp figure a bit higher.

But it leaves me wondering what the hp was before the chip - perhaps it was lower than advertised, the chip just gave me a bunch of torque, or maybe it's the surging.

Once i get the new valve, I'm going to run it again, so I'll post those numbers when I get them.

Chris has the 20-valve 1.8L Turbo motor. It's chipped -- your 2.0L won't be anywhere close to that... but with some modifications -- it will feel "peppy"!

hey fluidic, i'm aware of the fact that the 2.0 isnt going to resemble the power of the vr6 or 1.8t but im wondering if its worth modding, because if it can become comparable to the 1.8t or vr6 with a turbo or super bring on the mods, but if not, im going to be sad lol
